Good Vibes
Good Vibes festival! woo hoo I have one word for this..... FANTASTIC!!
I went with some good friends to the Gold Coast for a fun packed day of seeing some awesome acts, such as Salt and Pepper, Basement Jax, Killers......

However the lack of rain and mud was something I missed, but the hot hot sun kinda made up for it!
After all the singing had ended it was time for a stroll home on the beach....

Tuppaware
Well tonight was my first experience of a tuppaware party...... it was a nice get together and was great to meet other people.... as for the tuppawear stuff welllll..... all I can say is that I aint paying that bloody price for a plastic container!.....
Well the reason I am writing this, is because as I was browsing through the booklett of containers and melon scrapers I came accross a childhood memory.... it was a Shape-O!!!!! It was blue and red with two yellow handles on each side, if you pulled it opend up so you could let all the shapes out.... then you would let go and it would close up again! Then you would put the plasic shapes in the correct holes! Hours of fun!!!

Now what can I say apart from how cool is that?? does that mean that our mums got these from tuppwear parties when we were young?????
Amy gave me a keyring..... as I was so excited....

Thanks Amy!

Dream World
Today Jade and I took a trip to Dream World, while poor Si worked.... ahhhhhhh.....
We got there early to miss the cues, but alas we forgot it is not like Alton Towers, and that there were none.... oops..... anyway here ya go....

We both checked out a few of the rides..... the first one to go on was the drop..... it is a bit like the play station where you all sit and it takes you up slowly.... up up and farther up and then waits until you are least expecting it..... and then drops..... arrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

tee hee.... then we had a couple of silly pics taken.....

Then it was some more rides.... and then to feed the animals....

we even visited the tigers.....

Then we came accross some Crocs... now there was something not quite right about this picture.....

Can you guess what it was???.................
Well let me tell you if you have not already guessed!!!..... if you look closer you can see an object by the side of it......
A little pink thing..... yes a dummy..... a todler dummy...... now does that not worry you what they feed these crocs for breakfast?????
We quickly left that one .... but we were not quick enough....!
tee hee lucky this one is fake.... but the one with the dummy was not..... errrrrrrr quick ruuuuuun x

Bunya Mountains - Road Trip
It was a last minute desision.... Si was up at the sunshine coast with the boys fishing..... so I decided to throw the tent into the back of the car, pick up a couple of my friends and go for a road trip to Bunya Mountains!!!.....
8:30am was set off time, I picked Hilanda up from Wellington Point and then on to pick Lis up from Caloundra....after a lunchtime snack we were off!!! We had the tunes set up.....RnB, House, Dance, Rock,..... we had it all!.... sweets, crips (chips) as the Aussies say.... mmmmmm this is the life.....
Any way the trip took us through the Glass House Mountains, then Mt Mee!! what a awsome drive I can tell you! If any of you take the trip to come and see us down under then I am more than sure this is one of the places we will take you!
Any way as I was driving and taking in the views.... cars in front started to slow.... this was not expected ans I wondered what the problem could be. As we finaly drove to a halt, I could see that there had been a motorcycle accident! I had a medical kit in the boot of the car and thought it could be of help, I grabbed it and ran to the scene.... Lis and Hilanda parked the car and came to join to see if they could help.... it was quite comical as when Lis started running towards the accident she was stopped by a man who told her that she could not go any further.... to this she replied "its OK I work for a aged care company"... where the hell this came from I have no idea ha ha ha ha.... of all the things she could have said.... it was hilarious!
Any way.....lucky there was a doctor on scene and gave us a hand.... we provided towels, water and temp medical supplies until the ambulance came. The passanger had broken her arm and I think that the bone had penatrated the skin as the wound was wide open and bleeding badly.... we poured saline on it and wrapped a bandage around it to try stop the blood..... Its was a biker couple who had come off, but they were OK apart from broken bones (arms and legs).... I think we did a very good job at keeping the couple as comfortabe as possible until the ambulance came.... Hilanda held the umbrella over for shade.....Lis let the woman squeese her hand and I provided water, supplies and kepped the two talking.....Wow what a start to our road trip!!!! The amulance came and assured us that they would be OK... and off they went to be fixed up!
Back on the road.......
I think we were still in shock about what had just happended, and what we had done to help... I am so proud of us all!
We carried on driving for the next hour and came to a tavern, where we decided to get alcohol! Packed this into the boot of the car and up Bunya Mountain we went!
Time was ticking and dusk was approaching fast....once we got to the top and after great discussion as to whether we would stay in a B&B or came we decided to camp (judging by the fact it was $75 for the B&B fo $4 to camp!).....
Lis took the pics while Hilanda and I pitched up the tent...

Lis took a pic of herself ha ha ha...
After set up we decided to have some tea mmmm were were starving!

Lis loved the torch!!!

We had a right laugh..... and then it was lights out..... night night....

to be continued..........

Mount Mee - the pancake run
Today Si and I woke early.... another beautiful day! Why don't we go for a drive??
In the car we got and headed for Mount Mee....
The first stop would be Woodford for breki, it took about 1h 15mins to get there but boy was it worth it!.... A recommendation had been made to have breki at a little cafe called Jallas, but not just a normal breki...... it was THE breki!
In we trundled.... STARVING, Si was suffering from a bit too much the night before syndrome so he was in desperate need for a hearty breakfast! No need to look at the menu as we already knew what we were going to have...."The Jallas Breakfast" now are you ready for this???? "The Jallas Breakfast" consisted of the following ingredients:
2 x Pancakes
Lashings of maple syrup over the pancakes
2 x rashers of bacon (on the pancakes)
2 x Eggs (On the pancakes)
1 small ball of churned butter (also on the pancakes)
Yes I know this does not sound right, but unless you have tried it.... don't knock it! We had never had this before, but so many people recommended it.... we just had to give it a go!
IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE! yes I said SOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE! we ate every last scrap!
Right after this hearty breki we needed a snooze! so headed up the mountain (Mount Mee) where we took in the lovely views before laying on the grass under a great big tree....ahhhhh relax.........
It seemed a popular spot for motorbike riders, Si was livid that he did not have his! (still in storage)every winding corner we turned in the car was followed by "now if I just had my bike" and "oh sigh.... this bend would be awesome on my bike" Awwww bless him......
Any way back to the trip...... after about 2 hours, we decided to head down the other side of the mountain and into a village called Dayboro here we popped in to a Tea/Coffee shop for a cuppa and cake mmmmmmmmmmm Si had a lovely Cafe Late' with a huge slice of extremely rich vanilla cheesecake and I had a pot of tea (made with proper tea leaves) and a huge slice of lemon pie mmmmmmmmmmmm my mouth is watering as I write this!!!!
After we headed home...... on the way back we decided to pop in to a bottle shop for some bevvis and a present for Amanda (one of our friends here on Aus) it was her Birthday and we were invited over for the evening....
We decided to go to a bottle shop, which some people had recommended as cheap and lots of variety... (over here in Aus, you can not get alcohol from your local shop or supermarket, it has to be from a actual licensed bottle shop (they even have drive thru's!)). Any way, after taking half hour to find the bloomin place and then another half hour trying to park.... we finally got what we needed and headed off to Amanda's and Dan's (her man).
On arriving, there an aroma of cooked meat was wafting through the house.....Dan had put on a spit roast of pork mmmmmmmm there it was rotating over flames...... man did it taste good when it was cooked! well I tell ya.... they know how to have a party.....they have even built a little bar area on their deck to which homed a few bottles of Bundy!
Over all it was a splendid day....now we need to go for a run to burn all the pancakes, cake etc... off ha ha ha
Sorry there are no photo's as the camera has decided it does not want to work any more boo hoo........ I am sure we will do this all again tho so plenty time for pics in the future.....
Ahhhhhh and rest........ xx
