Moving Blogs

Today I have moved from Live Journal to Blogger....... this way I can link to my Picassa account!

So much rain! Where has all the sun gone? Last weekend it rained, the weekend before it rained and now this weekend too! Back to work today and guess what..... Still raining..... Floods everywhere, roads closed, it's quite cool really as the rain is not just drizzle, it is full on pouring!

Girls Night Out

Time for a girls night out! Both Phillippa and Alyson came over to ours and got ready for the big night out whoop whoop!

Off we skipped to Belle's house for pre drinks and to meet up with all the girls...

Now off we headed into the City to meet up with more of the girls and have some wonderful food yum yum......

As you can see from the pictures below, we all had a great time :)

Here is a guy who thought he was so hot that he had his shirt all open lol.... we dared Belle to go have a photo taken with him ha ha ha 

 We danced until dawn....... what a great night!

River Fire / Powder Finger

Today was River Fire day.... this is a big event where just about everybody in Brisbane gather to watch fireworks go off all down the river with a big ending of a F1 11 jet doing a dump and burn..... great for the environment... not...... (which is why this is probably the last time they are going to be doing this)....

We started out at Southbank but then moved onto Fridays as it gave a better view of the Story Bridge (where the main fireworks are set off)....

So here we are sat enjoying a nice bottle of red wine and a lovely steak then a very good view of the fireworks.... I took mostly video but here are a couple of pics I managed to get....










I did not manage to get a picture of the jet as it went so fast I wanted to capture it on video..... it was amazing! the heat that comes from it is intense!

Also after this had finished I went to the bar to be confronted by 2 blokes..... anyway to cut a long story short.... Sy and I both ended up been given 2 tickets to watch Powder Finger (who were playing at the River Stage just down the road).... so off we scurried..... BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!







Well an unexpected surprise and a fantastic day :)

Las Vegas - Last couple of days....

Well what could we do after all that fun but relax and pamper a hangover by the pool :)

Las Vegas - Day 5 (Jade and Larry's BIG day)

Well today is the whole reason for this trip! To watch this wonderful woman get married to a wonderful guy!

We all went for Breakfast at Planet Hollywood (all you can eat) Jade ate about 5 plates ha ha I was worried that she was not going to fit into her dress!

After Breakfast we headed to the salon where Jade Gemma and I all had our hair done! The lady who was doing it actually styles hair for all the rich and famous! one of them being Catherine Zeta Jones! So we did feel like stars!

However she was sooooo laid back that it got to where we had 30 mins to get ready and she still had not finished!.... but she did do an awesome job and she also did the eye makeup for Jade too! So off we ran with 20 mins to get ready!

And phew she made it!

What a beautiful wedding! It was held at Mandalay Bay, which is huge! They have a part that is blocked off, which made they ceremony so private.... it was right at the bottom of 2 waterfalls and what a perfect setting this was!

After the vows were made and they were both Husband and Wife off they went to have their pictures taken.... well it was an opportunity for Larry to show off his gorgeous wife! She looked a stunner!

Well apart from this..... ha ha

After photos we all headed to the Reef, which was also in Mandalay Bay! This was great but what was even better was that we all got to fin the walk with a cocktail! yum yum....

Then it was time for dinner! First the speeches!

We all got some lovely favors including some poker chips to gamble with!

Then a trip up the elevator to the rooftop club!! and I must say what a view and what a way to top off a fabulous day!
