We arrived for about 3pm, the event actually starts about 8am for the qualifying rounds, so we got there about half way through that and got to see quite a lot of diferent cars for example (one for dad here)... a Ford Anglia!
Yes they are still raceing them and boy do they go fast (they must put super charge and Nitro in as they abosluty fly! They would leave you standing at the traffic lights ha ha ha......
It was a lovely hot day about 28/29 degrees so we took our Esky with lots of water and yummy cheese...mmmmmmmmm.....
We were all sat on a slope watching the cars qualify, and it was a really good view! Here are a couple of shots of more cars we got to see.
After the qualifying rounds, it was time for the big guns! Oh yes, it was awsome! The noise was soooooooo loud I have never heard anything like it! even through ear plugs your ears fealt like they were going to bleed!.... So as the sun set....
......and the cars got louder and faster we huddled up as it started to get a bit cooler..
And the Flames began!
and the smoke.... 
It was really hard to get photos of them as they set off so quick, they were gone before you could blink! The car with the fire comming out above ended up turning into a fireball halfway down the track! it was quite scary! The back of the car was quite a mess, but the front was OK and so was the driver! There was a long delay tho as they had to clear all the oil off the track.... The comp was supposed to end at 10pm but when we left at 10 they were only at the quarter finals! (bet it want on till 12 midnight!)
