Las Vegas - Day 5 (Jade and Larry's BIG day)

Well today is the whole reason for this trip! To watch this wonderful woman get married to a wonderful guy!

We all went for Breakfast at Planet Hollywood (all you can eat) Jade ate about 5 plates ha ha I was worried that she was not going to fit into her dress!

After Breakfast we headed to the salon where Jade Gemma and I all had our hair done! The lady who was doing it actually styles hair for all the rich and famous! one of them being Catherine Zeta Jones! So we did feel like stars!

However she was sooooo laid back that it got to where we had 30 mins to get ready and she still had not finished!.... but she did do an awesome job and she also did the eye makeup for Jade too! So off we ran with 20 mins to get ready!

And phew she made it!

What a beautiful wedding! It was held at Mandalay Bay, which is huge! They have a part that is blocked off, which made they ceremony so private.... it was right at the bottom of 2 waterfalls and what a perfect setting this was!

After the vows were made and they were both Husband and Wife off they went to have their pictures taken.... well it was an opportunity for Larry to show off his gorgeous wife! She looked a stunner!

Well apart from this..... ha ha

After photos we all headed to the Reef, which was also in Mandalay Bay! This was great but what was even better was that we all got to fin the walk with a cocktail! yum yum....

Then it was time for dinner! First the speeches!

We all got some lovely favors including some poker chips to gamble with!

Then came the alcohol.....

What a classy woman ha ha

Then a trip up the elevator to the rooftop club!! and I must say what a view and what a way to top off a fabulous day!

Night night!

Las Vegas - Day 4

Today is the day before Jade and Larry get married! So what best to do but have a hen do!

Now this had to be special..... we had chosen to take Jade to a pool party, but not just any pool party... the most exclusive pool party in Vegas! MGM Grand!

We got a great deal and drank plenty of cocktails and Bacardi yum yum while relaxing and chatting!

Now that was something you don't do every day!

All good things come to an end... but in this case it was going to carry on! We quickly headed back to the hotel to get changed (and I mean quickly) we only had 30 mins before we had to be at the restaurant ha ha

Yummy!

After I think we were all surprised as Laura had booked a huge pink hummer limo to pick us all up to take us to Thunder from Down Under..... (now this bit is classified ha ha)

 After all the awesome and exciting action we headed to the Coyote Ugly bar for some vodka shots and dancing on the bar! :)

 Jade was taking it easy.......

As you can see in the picture below.... all the Bra's on the roof..... they tried to get Jades but as she was wearing a white top and they had sprayed her with water she kept hold of it ha ha ha

We were all good ladies and made sure Jade was tucked up in bed by 1am as it is her big day tomorrow :)

Night night and off we skipped to our lovely hotel......

Las Vegas - Day 3

Today Jenna and I headed for the Grand Canyon!

First of all and early start!

We got on the lovely air conditioned bus where we were first taken to the Las Vegas sign...

Vivaaaaaa Las Vegas da da da da da da daaaaaa








After this stop we had breaky on the bus which consisted of a HUGE muffin the size of my head! This was to prepare us for the day ahead!

Next stop Hoover Dam!

After this we drove down Route 66

Before finally reaching ......

The Grand Canyon!

I have one word... WOW!

One of the most amazing places I have ever seen..... I did not really know what to expect and to be honest I thought "what is the big deal... its only a cliff!" I was wrong.... this goes on for miles and miles and really is a wonder.  BEAUTIFUL

Las Vegas - Day 2

Bight and early and ready to start the day! We checked to see if Jenna's luggage had arrived and yes it did! So before meeting up with the rest of the clan we decided to get some Breakki!

Then off to meet Jade and the rest of her wedding brigade at the Bellagio fountains..... on the way we did a bit of sight seeing:

New York New York (this was part of the outside of one hotel.... here are the rest......
Then Excalibur...


After a bit of sight seeing we got a bit thirsty and headed to pub....
.....it was a great bar, every 30 mins a wheel was spun as you can see from the picture of Wendy spinning it..... what ever this landed on was what you got for that half hour! We all wished for the $3 cocktails one, but alas we got the $3 pint of beer... still we didn't miss out on that little bargain ha ha....

After our little refreshment it was time to venture further towards to Bellagio to meet up with Jade..... we arrived a little early so decided to take a tour around the place. Wow it was amazing! There was a garden and everything (except the flowers) were made of glass!



Then it was time to meet up with Jade......

We finally meet up with the bride to be and her lovely other half! What a great place to meet! Just have a look at the show!

After hugs and the meet and greet with friends it was time to take a trip to the Stratosphere, now this is not for the faint hearted! I am talking about the rides......

After witnessing a guy jump off the building (can you see him in the picture?) we headed further up where there were some rides... I must have been out of my mind!

This was the tip of the tower so yes is the highest ride in the world (I think)... I went on this and nearly cried!

The one below I chickened out of as this was basically a ride that shot off the edge of the building.... not really one for the faint hearted ha ha

Time for a beer I think!

Now lets take all this to Fremont Street old Vegas!

Las Vegas - Day 1

The first touchdown in America was LA, I only managed to view the skyline out of the plane window and the airport..... it was very big and looked like concrete city! The airport is quite ugly, but I suppose the amount of people they have through it and the actual size of the thing it will be quite hard to keep maintained.....

So back on the plane to Vegas! I am did not have much of an expectation but when flying into it, I thought wow this place really is in the middle of nowhere! just surrounded by desert and mountains! There was a spectacular storm with huge bolts of lightning hitting the mountains in the distance which I am glad we were not flying through!

Finally at the Hotel (Hotel Tropicana, yes drinks are free, well if your gambling anyway)..... They were renovating the place (it had nealy been completed) and the it looked great! I was meeting Wendy & Jenna there and as Wendy had booked the room I had to sit at the bar and have myself a lovely cold beer while I waited for her to arrive!

Not even 40 30 mins into my drink and Wendy arrived! It was great to see her! The Jenna arrived without her luggage as apparently it was taking the round trip of America oops! So we decided to have another beer then hit the strip while we waited for her luggage to arrive!





Well what can I say..... I was lost for words.... the place is huge! As it was late, we only managed to eat and when people say portions are big in America..... believe them! It took us about an hour to guzzle down the monster Mexican food and then we were too full to go anywhere else! So we took off back to our lovely room and caught some Z's

The Move

Well the land lord has decided he wants to sell the house, so we are now moving.... Nearly all packed up and ready for Friday. Just got to do the kitchen and our bedroom and last but not least the TV......
