Sy and I went with some of Sy's work mates; Jasmin, Jeff, Danielle & Jason.... the house boat was quite nice with 3 small (very small) bedrooms a lovely kitchen with seating area and an upper deck (Awesome) and then the place where we were to spend most of the time...... out at the back fishing!

Here are a couple of pictures:

Holls!

After a good long Easter weekend, I decided to take the rest of the week off from work, however Sy had to work as he had a big tender to do boo hoo so here I am sat at home on mi own (and it is raining)..... bloomin marvelous!

So I thought I would update a few things and do a bit of house keeping..... in fact I may even take a trip out to the Zoo :)

Anyway, back to my blog...... over the weekend Sy and I had a BBQ to celebrate our Residency and invited quit a few people over and had a blast! This means we now pay less tax and can now buy a house instead of living in fester pits or next to bust main roads! (to get get a decent rental out here you are looking at mega bucks...... $500 per week.... thats about 300 quid a week)..... its a right rip off!

Yesterday I decided to get some false eyelashes put on lol..... they should last 2-4 weeks..... I thought they would feel funny, but to be honest I can not tell I have them on (apart from when I look in the mirror). Sy has been going on about me getting these done since I had them done on my Birthday (he really liked them).... no pictures yet tho, but I will try get some posted before they drop out lol xx

Now I am going to stop writing and get on with some stuff...... we have just bought our car from a lease company... they sent us a letter saying that our insurance was paid up until next year.... but like everything out here.... you cant trust anyone or anything.... so Sy did a bit of digging and found that we are only covered until 30th April 2011...... yes that leaves us 2 days to look for insurance! What a joke hey! Anyway, they are going to get a lovely e-mail from us :)........ looking on the bright side.... at least we found out now, rather than finding out after a bump lol ...

Chow for now xx

Japan

Today is a very sad day for millions of people, not only in Japan but around the whole world! I do not think there will be one person that will not be affected by what has happened today.....

A 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck off shore in Northern Japan (the 4th largest in the world since the 1900) causing a huge Tsunami which wiped out many towns and villages on the whole cost line.... what a very sad day..... thousands of people have died... whole families..... people are digging through the left over rubble searching for loved ones so they can lay them to rest.... I can not even imagine how this must feel, I just keep seeing the footage on the TV, Internet and in the News Papers at the whole devastation and all the broken hearted people searching and looking lost... where do they go now..... below is a link just to show what it was like before and then after...

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/03/13/world/asia/satellite-photos-japan-before-and-after-tsunami.html

It is very hard to believe such devastation could be caused, Japan have had many Earthquakes and have built to withstand then, however this one was just too big.

Not only has the Earthquake and Tsunami flattened the coast, but it has also damaged 3 Nuclear Reactors... 2 of which are badly damaged and now leaking radiation! There have been a couple of explosions, but I do not think we will get the whole picture until later.... just one thing to another...... if these things blow then.... well I can not even say..........

Just keep fingers, toes, arms, EVERYTHING crossed in hope that the Nuclear Power Plants are controlled!

R.I.P to all who have died in this terrible disaster, my thoughts will always be with you xx

Eagles Reach - NSW (Day 5)

Just a quick post today as our little road trip holiday ended on a lovely note... on the drive back we stopped in at Byron Bay (which is one of my favorite places) for a bite to eat and a dip in the sea!

As soon as we got home, we were back out again as we had been invited out to dinner with some friends so all in all we had a great holiday and cant wait for another one! xx

Eagles Reach - NSW (Day 4)

It was time to start heading back home to Brisbane so we packed up, Sy did a spot of fishing as he was desperate to catch a fish of a Yabby...

Nearly ended up catching a small turtle, it kept steeling the bait grrrrrrr.... still no Yabby tho :(

So off we headed to Port Macquarie which is about 6 hours away from Brisbane.... we stopped here for some fish and chips and a trip to the beach.......and to stay over before the long drive back...

Eagles Reach - NSW (Day 3)

With an action packed day ahead of us, off we went to breakfast.... Sy had the full English and I had Pancakes yum yum...... First activity of the day was to have a massage.... ahhhhhhhh...... now we were all relaxed we decided to hire some Kayaks and go fishing in the lagoon.....

Sy taking it easy
I thought that was quite a nice picture because the water was so still Sy's reflection looks awesome!

Sy had a couple of visitors.....

he did not catch a think lol... but he tried.....

We also saw the ducks dipping for food.... well it was ducking under the water to get the flowers from the water Lilly....

The lagoon was quite small so it wasn't much of a Kayaking adventure ha ha

After we hired a golf buggy where we could run around the whole mountain, it was great.... we stopped off to see some awesome views and Sy tried a second attempt to catching fish in another lagoon but alas no luck...

We drove up to the peak of the mountain where we could see the town of Vasey.... it was a lovely view..

As you can see we had fun ha ha, could have stayed there all day! I love places like this where there are such beautiful views it makes me feel happy and alive!

Sy took some arty pictures too which I thought looked quite cool!

Then off we went again in the buggy! Sy loved it!

Sy stood on a sharp stone then went through his flip flop as I was taking a picture of him oops can you see the pain on his face poor lad .....

We went for a walk and ended up getting a bit lost, not really something you want to be doing on a mountain in hot weather and no water..... lucky we found our way back down a dirt path we had just been walking round in circles all the time ha ha ha....

As the sun set we had a lovely dinner and just relaxed ahhhhh what a great day :)

Night night xx

Eagles Reach - NSW (Day 2)

Finally arrived at Eagles Reach a whole 9000 kilometers from Brisbane..... it was quite a long drive up to the top of the mountain and we saw lots of Kangaroos!

We got to the reception where they gave us a glass of Champers and bag with chocolates and a bottle of champers too!... we took the key and off we went to our lodge....

Inside there was our room and also a communal room with a pool table etc..... it overlooked off the mountain, the view was fantastic.. here are some pictures!

Once we had unpacked we went down for dinner, oh and to feed the kangaroos!

Ha ha ha it was great! They are soooooo cute I don't know how people can eat them :(

Well after this we had some food (not kangaroo).. and went back for a game of pool.... ha I just remembered  taking a picture of Sy and then I made him take it again ha ha can you guess why??
